When the 88 page annual town report is first opened, you will see a poem titled, "The Day the Church Burned." Written by Gretchen Fadden, a Sheffield resident, she reminisces on the night the "church died" as she put it. On the next page is a dedication to two members of the town who will be deeply missed. Scott Nelson and Lewis Brill passed away this past year while being role model citizens in the town of Sheffield. When you flip to the next page the annual report starts.

For the next 87 pages its numbers, numbers and more numbers. Glenn Bryant thought that the 88 page report was too confusing for the average citizen. The Sheffield town auditor, Jack Simons, had this to say about those remarks.
